History

From 1960 to the 1990’s, Joe and Teresa O’Neill owned and operated Shop n’ Save Supermarket. Serving Spaniard’s Bay and surrounding communities, the store carried grocery items, fresh cut meats and home supply products.

Along with being the store manager, Joe was known for having quite the green thumb. An avid gardener,  he could often be found in his extensive hobby garden. In the 1990’s, Joe’s passion bloomed into a full-blown business venture. Following the addition of several greenhouses, public gardens and more retail space, Shop n’ Save transformed into O’Neill’s Gardenland.

Following in their father’s footsteps, the business was managed by Joe and Teresa’s sons Anthony and Steven O’Neill. Anthony ran O’Neill’s Gardenland, while Steven ran OGL Landscape Professionals.

As of 2019, our business has again transformed. Under the direction of Steven O’Neill, O’Neill Landscape has now become the sole focus of the company going forward. Specializing in landscape construction, property maintenance and snow & ice management, O’Neill Landscape is a full-service landscape group with Red Seal designation and COR status. Serving residential and commercial clients throughout Newfoundland.
